What they do
IT Select is an IT advisory and procurement firm that helps mid-market companies (500–1500 employees) evaluate and select the right technology vendors—covering cybersecurity, connectivity, SD-WAN, backup & DR, cloud, phone systems, and more. The service is free to clients: IT Select is paid by the winning vendor via referral commissions, expansion/renewal commissions, resell margins, and a vendor marketing program that includes a dedicated SDR and exclusivity for participating vendors.
What we did
We injected strategic capital and rebuilt IT Select into a predictable, high-margin MRR powerhouse. The business was re-architected from a founder-driven consultancy into a scalable procurement engine powered by systems, process, and recurring revenue. We centralized sales ops, deployed an SDR model, and implemented a project-management-led delivery structure so the business no longer relies on a single producer.
We also formalized the Engagement Charter—with an enforceable $3,000 kill fee—and strengthened vendor relationships through a high-ROI Vendor Marketing Program that creates consistent, contract-backed monthly revenue. We expanded beyond referral commissions into renewal/expansion commissions and a hardware/software resell arm, stabilizing cash flow and building true recurring income.
The result: a capital-efficient, diversified revenue model that compounds monthly, increases lifetime value, and positions IT Select as a category leader in technology procurement.
